Learning

Warrenton Presbyterian Church is blessed to present a broad selection of classes and studies intended to enrich our lives in Christ.

What does Christian Education actually mean?  At Warrenton Presbyterian Church, as with many other PCUSA churches, Christian Education is a lifelong objective and congregational mission of passing on a living faith.

Sunday School programs for all ages (children-adults) take place at 11am from September through May.

Different age groups meet in classrooms and spaces through the church building.  Church members and staff will help you find all the groups you are looking for when you visit, and classes are usually highlighted on the bulletin board just off the Narthex.

Something to Think About

Usually we think of education this way: hear a story and remember the facts. Christian education today begins with someone telling a Bible story and then asking powerful questions. Can we love as Jesus loved? Does God ask me to be obedient like Abram and Sarai? Are we called to feed Christ’s sheep? If so, what does this mean for us? The model of teaching is Jesus’ model, but Jesus also taught while he healed the sick or as he moved away from the crowd to pray. We learn through his example and by our own experience.
