Help that Feels Like Home
Warrenton Presbyterian Church supports the only homeless and emergency shelter agency in the county through financial means, volunteer action, and monthly meals prepared by the youth.
About Fauquier Family Shelter Services:
The shelter was established in 1988 by concerned individuals and social service agencies to alleviate the pain of poverty and homelessness in Fauquier County and surrounding areas. FFSS operates the only emergency shelter and associated transitional housing development in the county.
How Fauquier F.I.S.H. Shares God’s Blessings in the Community:
Programs include food pantry distribution, Book Bag & School Supply drive, Weekend Power Pack meals for Fauquier County school children, Senior Meals delivered to the Warrenton Senior Center, Farmers Market Program, and holiday food baskets. Across all programs, FISH serves over 2,000 individually annually. FISH’s board of directors includes a combination of both newer members to the organization as well as seasoned volunteers. Each board member brings a unique skill set to the table and displays a dedication to improving the quality of life for all residents of Fauquier County.
Warrenton Presbyterian Church supports the Fauquier Free Clinic’s efforts to provide healing and care for patients financially unable to cover medical, dental and mental health needs.
In addition to prayer and financial support, our church prepares a meal for the providers at the clinic, many of whom donate their time away from their own private health care practices.
